Hello reader and helloooo Wednesday! Where did the week go? No, seriously. It’s just sort of gone already! Just last week, I was just posting about how I am nominated in several categories in the Best of Blog Awards over at My So-Called Chaos and it’s already time for another edition of my Wednesday Wrap Up!
So to start this post, I have a little confession to make.
I have a particular writing style that maybe doesn’t reflect my entire personality. That isn’t to say that I am faking it or otherwise not being me… it’s just that my blog shows a more adult and professional side of me than you would otherwise get to know if you really spent quality time with me.
I sometimes add silly anecdotes or have a good laugh at my own expense, but I don’t often let my sarcastic self out. It’s not my best quality and I’ve found that the tone is generally not well accepted – especially in writing. And yet, for whatever reason, I decided yesterday to let it out in a blog post about The Top 5 Reasons I Stopped Reading Your Blog.
Much to my surprise, it’s been well received and in some cases, even praised. I don’t know if maybe I just said what everyone was thinking or what, but I’m glad it hasn’t caused a riot or anything. I tend to screw up a good thing at times by letting my snarky opinions come out and it typically offends all the wrong people.
I wanted to go on record and say that I am grateful that everyone thus far has been very accepting of the post and kind in the comments. It’s made me a little less scared of using that tone and I hope to use the new found confidence to continue finding my voice here on my blog. I also want to apologize to anyone who may feel slighted by it. I hope the tone wasn’t so harshly read that you think I hate you or your blog just because maybe you do one of the things on the list.
In case you missed it, I went out of town over the weekend.
Unfortunately, I did not get nearly as much blogging done as I would have liked while away. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I have been really drowsy lately. I have been tired to the point of shaking on several occasions and it’s really freaking me out. Yes, I have narcolepsy but this is a tired I have never dealt with before. It’s been intense and has overwhelmed me to the point that it’s causing me to have trouble functioning.
I did however manage to post about The Best Handmade My Little Pony Items – a post that I am absolutely in love with. It was an absolute pleasure to research and write.
Do you enjoy these kinds of posts too? I try to mix up my content as best I can. Even a post such as that one has affiliate links in it and I don’t want you to feel as if I am just constantly throwing products at you. But I really had fun discovering those products and my own wallet is in trouble for it!
Speaking of my poor wallet…
Last week, I also reached out to you about my paychecks and how I find them depressing. I’m really struggling to save the money I need for my laptop and I feel my blogging aspirations are suffering for it. I know it’s only the 11th and I get paid again in 4 more days… but I feel like it’s just never going to be enough and that I will get to the end of March and not be able to replace my computer. That makes me so super sad.
I wanted to thank everyone who commented on the post. It helped put things into perspective for me just as much as it made me feel like maybe I’m not crazy after all. Maybe my paychecks really are as bad as they seem and maybe I do deserve more. But also, maybe this is just my current reality and I’ll have to suck it up and deal for a while longer. Whatever the case is, thank you for the nice comments.
That’s it for this week! I will be going through my Bloglovin’ account over the next few days to rid myself of some blogs I am just not connecting with at this time and hopefully find more that I will enjoy!

Have fun going through your Bloglovin account. It actually feels pretty good to unfollow blogs sometimes! It’s like Spring Cleaning.
While I do sometimes feel guilt for doing a Bloglovin cleanout, it feels really good to cut down on posts you weren’t that interested in anyway!
