Do you love collecting geeky, fandom-based items? I know you do! Every month this year, I will be hosting a giveaway called The Golden Snitch: The geeky giveaway that opens at the close. You will get the chance at winning a special prize box containing a mixture of pop culture items which total value is $100 or more. Does this sound good to you? Of course it does!

I have rounded up some amazing geek-inspired bloggers to introduce you to today. I’ve been getting to know each of these ladies one blog post at a time and I can say without a doubt – they are some of the most wonderful, kind, and generous women I have had the chance to partner up with. I’m so excited for you to meet them and hopefully get to know them better as well!

KIMI | Kimi Who?
It might sound a little cliche right now, but I’d like to learn more about Star Wars. Seeing the new movie has really piqued my interest and I’ve found myself bugging my boyfriend with so many questions! I’m greatly enjoying learning about the Star Wars universe and old canon vs. new!

 
ANGIE | My So-Called Chaos
I think maybe the outlander fandom. I read the first book and really liked it, but have gotten stuck trying to read the second and people are obsessed with the whole series.

 
JENN | The Diary of a Dreamer
One fandom I’d like to learn more about this year? That is a really difficult question. Hmmm…. Either Batman (like Harley Quinn) or maybe Star Wars (I haven’t watched the movies since 1-3 were in theaters) or Doctor Who (maybe pre-Christopher Eccleson).

 
HEATHER | The Nerdy Fox
The one fandom I’d like to learn more about in 2016 is Sherlock. I haven’t been able to really get into it even though I know if I sat down and watched it, I’d be in love.

 
CHRISTINA | Cali Darling
One fandom I’d like to learn more about in 2016 would have to be the Divergent series. I’ve seen the first one and definitely want to see the second one. I’d also like to read the books as well. I feel like Divergent would fit well into my current favorite fandoms of Harry Potter, Twilight, and Hunger Games!

 
MANDY | The True Ultimate Fangirl Officially
One fandom I’d like to learn more about in 2016 is Deadpool. I already love all the trailers I’ve seen for the new movie, plus all I’ve heard about him as a character, because I’m a foul-mouthed, vulgar, twisted-sensed-of-humor kind of gal myself, and to find a character that is along those same lines is just freakin’ fantastic! I can’t wait to start buying comics and I just recently purchased my outfit for when I go and see the movie, so I’m psyched! There’s nothing better than getting to be a geeky fashionista while learning about the “Merc With a Mouth”.

 
ASHLEE | Her Geekery
I’d love to learn more about Supernatural! I’ve heard so much about it and I’ve seen an episode here and there, but I’ve never taken the time to sit down and get into it. I’m especially intrigued by Jared Padalecki’s ‘Always Keep Fighting’ campaign, which I think is what really sparked my interest in this massive fandom!

The Once Upon A Time fandom. I abandoned the show in S2 and now I regret it.

Let’s go Wade Wilson. Deadpool comes outnxt month and I think more people should know him.

 
DANIELLE | From Girlie to Nerdy
I’d like to learn more about (and hopefully watch) Sailor Moon this year. I missed the boat on that show as a kid and I love that it promotes girl power and has talking cats.

 
NICHOLE | Cuppa Geek
I can’t wait to get all caught up with Doctor Who and Torchwood. The show has changed my fandom life. I can’t say I’ve ever been this crazy about a show before. Not even my horror shows. And I’m a huge horror geek. Doctor Who has everything romance, action, suspense, horror . . How could you not be obsessed?

 
LEAH | Girl Getting Geeky
I think it might actually be Harry Potter for me. I’m not a great lover of the characters. Sorry! But I am a lover of the world.

 
VANESSA | 2 Dorks in Love
We just started getting into Supernatural this month. I kept seeing raves all over my geek mom group and told my husband that I wanted to start catching up. I knew little bits…like there’s Felicia Day in there somewhere, and I know Dean likes pie, ha ha. So far it’s been great for the first season and a half!

 
KATY | Plays Well with Coffee
I would love to learn more about the Sherlock fandom! I’ve heard nothing but good things about the show, so I’m totally stoked to jump into the whole thing!

The DC fandom. I’m more of a Marvel Gal myself.

For me, I think I’d enjoy learning a bit more about the Marvel universe, in terms of character origins and whatnot. As a fan of the MCU, I’d really like to learn more about the comic history, especially as there are character movies coming out this year that I’d like to see but don’t know much about (ie – Doctor Strange).

I’d like to learn more about Firefly. People seem to love the series or think it’s highly overrated. I fell in love with the movie, Serenity, when I first watched it, so I’d like to give the series (single season?) a chance!

 
MICHELLE | Geeked Out Girl
The fandom I would like to learn more about is video games. Gamers seem so passionate about everything they do- from the games they play to the system(s) that they use. I would love to find a system and a game that I am so dedicated to that I actually play it through all the way to the end.

      • No it’s not! They announced on Jan 19 that Doctor Who and Luther are staying :) Woohoo!

        • Sadly, it really is. The info you are referring to is from last year around this same time when both Doctor Who and Luther were in danger of leaving Netflix as both of their contracts had ended. There was a huge outcry about it and they got signed on for another year.

    Also, the one fandom I’d like to learn more about is…. oh, that’s such a good question….
    I’m going to say Jessica Jones and Anime. Jessica because I just don’t know enough about her, yet (except that I love her). Anime because I used to be really into anime but have fallen out over the years. I really want to learn more about the new anime shows out there.

    • That lamp is so much nicer than I thought it was going to be. I thought you had to push down the top to activate it, but it’s actually a touch lamp. It’s so cool!

      I want to learn more about Jessica Jones too! I LOVED the original series on Netflix and can’t wait for more!

    • I didn’t either until I started getting into Arrow. I think it’s a really interesting way to get involved in the universe – although some of it isn’t canon.

  12. I love this, and visiting all of your blogs. I think the fandoms I want to explore more this year are Supernatural and Outlander! I keep hearing good things and just haven’t quite made it around to watching.

    • I kind of felt the same way – I loved the new movie way more than I thought I would and now I find myself very interested in learning more about the Star Wars universe!

  16. i’d like to get into star wars. i’m alreayd in hp, doctor who, lotr/hobbit, game of thrones, star trek (all the major ones) but i never watched the star wars movies. it’s my goal for 2016!!

  17. I think I’d like to go back and read more about the X-Files, now that they’ve come out with the new series.

  18. Birthing 2 kids = amnesia and so its so lovely that X-Files is back on and I would love to jump back into that murky pool. All I remember are the goosebumps and freakin’ out, but nothing solid and I keep reading about how this current season is nowhere near as good. Great job on this giveaway – totally new to me. You are so super organized and the formatting is excellent.

    • Ya know… I’ve never watched X-Files and I don’t know what all of the excitement is about. I’d like to check it out and see if it interests me.

    • It’s such a bummer they are taking it off of Netflix in just a couple of days. I keep saying I’m going to go and watch some classic episodes, and I never do. Blah.

  23. I really want to learn more about Doctor Who. I’ve only seen a few episodes from the newer Doctors, and would really love to watch the entire series all the way through. The few episodes I have seen were fantastic!

    • I recommend starting with nuwho – everything from the 9th Doctor and forward to start with. Not that you shouldn’t get acquainted with the classics! It’s just a good starting point.

  30. I need to get into Classic Doctor Who – I’ve finished Seasons 1-3. Each season is one story, so it would take 4-6 weeks to watch them when they aired! That would drive me bonkers.
    I also want to learn more about Deadpool. He is Hubs’ favorite character and I know NOTHING about him.

  36. Hello. I posted this first on The Nerdy Fox, but then realized, being the only comment, I probably commenting in the wrong spot.. Sorry about that. So here I am. :) I’ve been a huge fan of Diana Gabaldon’s historical fiction/science fiction/time travel/romance book series Outlander for a long time now. It’s an amazing story… and it has finally been made into a tv show by Starz. At first I was worried they’d mess it up. They are doing an amazing job.. and I am totally geeking out about this. So far the casting is amazing, and they are keeping it very close to the book. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t seen it yet. You don’t need to be a fan of the books. I can’t wait for the second season to come back in April and am checking google every few days like a nerd to see who they cast for certain roles that I know are going to be in the second season since it’s following Dragonfly in Amber (the second book) So I’d LOVE to see some fandom posts about Outlander. Pretty please.:)

  37. I wouldn’t say I’d like to learn more about it, but I might try to rediscover the X-Files. I thought I liked it back in the day, but the new season hasn’t really managed to pull me in.

  39. please and thank you to the sponsors! my 10 year old daughter (who is turning ten in a little less than 2weeks) just saw the BB8 and freaked out and wants it so badly lol. I think the coloring book is awesome!
    I have been watching supergirl if that counts but I can’t decide if I like it or not. it is pretty cool. I also really would love to get into game of thrones. I have tried to just jump in and watch an episode but was just too lost to continue.
    my other one is the xfiles, if that counts too, I used to watch that with my dad as a teen and continued watching it until the very end. and was so excited that it was coming back yet still have missed every episode! and I think I just heard they’re on episode 8 already! omg. thank goodness for on demand right?!
    anyway- I am sure there are a few I am missing. my boyrfriend is more into the comic shows and sci fi stuff.
    my whole family went to see the star wars movie and I had to stay home with our baby :( oh well, I guess I will have wait til it comes out on dvd.

  41. I’d like to learn more about Dr. Who. My oldest loves it but I haven’t gotten around to starting it yet.
