Not too long ago, I showed y’all a phone case that Casetify was kind enough to send to me in exchange for a review. I loved my new case – not just because it was well printed and sturdy, but honestly because it’s the cutest phone case I have ever had and the compliments on it have been never ending. Thanks to that post, I ended up in contact with the artist behind the illustration and we started chatting back and forth across Instagram and Facebook. Next thing I knew… I was falling in love with another one of Anna’s designs and I really think y’all should get to know her!
I’d like to introduce you to…
Anna is a self taught illustrator from Russia whose major inspiration is actually her own black cat, Misha! She works in vector and raster graphics, loves to draw and doodle, produces watercolor paintings and uses pen and pencil as much as possible.
Her favorite theme includes animals, food, and nature. She really enjoys producing seamless patterns (which is awesome because you can buy gift wrap and fabric featuring her illustrations too).

So about that design…
Unfortunately, the design I fell in love with was one she had drawn for a contest and since she won (of course she did… she’s amazing) the rights to sell it on products went to the company hosting the contest. But fear not… because Anna was kind enough to draw a brand new, similar design for me to share with you!

Speaking of which… Anna was so nice to even go as far as to record herself drawing this for you! It’s a bit less than 10 minutes long and it really makes you appreciate (and notice) every detail of the design. I really enjoyed watching and I was in total awe of her skills!
That’s so cool. I’ve been a graphic artist for years and her skills just blow me away. Her drawings are so creative and fun… and her color choices are always interesting.
