Introducing: Funko Fridays! An All New Blog!

Is it really that shocking that I am announcing a new blog completely dedicated to Funko collectibles? Probably not. It isn’t to me anyways – I’ve thought about it a few times but I wasn’t sure I had enough social power to do it well and have it be worth it. Fortunately, I met Pepi of dePepi.com who suggested the idea of her Facebook group for geek girl bloggers of having a special day show off our Funko every week… and it really got my gears turning.

What would we call this special day? Funko Fridays of course. Alliterations are super awesome and I couldn’t resist suggesting it. I got very excited about the project quickly and that told me 2 things:

• I was really into the idea
• I needed to fuel the fire

 

So What Exactly is Funko Fridays?

At first, I suggested Funko Fridays be just a blogging prompt that Pepi and I could share. But if you know anything about me at all, it’s not a surprise that I went all out and created an entire website for this new adventure. See, Funko Fridays is not just a weekly Funko-inspired blog prompt… it’s an entire blog co-hosted and written by both myself and Pepi that will feature Funko related news, Funko culture, giveaways and probably more at some point.

Did I mention this all got started on Monday? Let’s all bask in my crazy for a moment and realize that between Tuesday and Thursday, I created an entire website + branding. Haha

Anyways… As a blogging prompt, Funko Fridays is pretty simple. Every Friday, there’s a Funko related theme to use for a blog post. The themes are pre-determined (although we’re also taking suggestions) for your convenience and you can find October and November’s themes on the theme page.

Conflict of Interest?

I wanted to personally talk about the geek community and Friday scheduled blogging prompts since a lot of my readers participate in 5 Fandom Fridays hosted by TherNerdyGirlie.com and I want everyone to know that we love 5FF and would never dream of asking you to choose. We’re an alternative blogging prompt. Maybe one week you want to do 5 Fandom Friday and maybe one week you feel inspired by the Funko Friday blogging prompt instead. Maybe you go crazy and do both!
