Steven Universe Inspired Hand-Made Items

We are the Crystal Gems. We always save the day. And if you think we can’t, we’ll always find a way. That’s why the people of this world believe in… Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl… and Steven!

You guessed it. I recently fell in love with Steven Universe. If you don’t know what that is, I’ll try to break it down for you. This cartoon is about Steven, a half-human, half-alien boy who was born into special powers. He’s part of the “Crystal Gems” who work to keep the world safe. Steven is coming into the age where he’s learning to use his powers – passed down to him at birth by his Mother and former leader of the Crystal Gems, Rose Quartz.

It’s fabulously animated and has the great character development that I crave in my cartoons. In fact, if you like My Little Pony or Adventure Time, you’re probably going to love Steven Universe. I think it has all the messages of MLP:FiM with some of the antics of Adventure Time. It’s a great middle ground and I think that’s what has me hooked so easily.

Naturally, I went in search of awesome hand-made Steven Universe inspired items on Etsy. Sometimes, the hand-made stuff is so much better than what you can get in stores. Here are some of my favorites that I discovered!
