About The Author
I wanted to give Cameron the opportunity to tell you all about himself, his newest book, and the inspiration behind his work. I’m really excited about sharing his book with you, so I’m going to hand it over to him!
I’m a father of four living in beautiful Utah. By day I’m a software engineer and I write on my free time. I grew up in Pennsylvania as the third of 7 and our names go in Alphabetical order (A through G), hence why I’m a C.
I’ve loved writing and telling stories for as long as I can remember even though I’ve only actually written stories on and off. In 1st grade I got in trouble because I was writing a story instead of listening to the teacher. It was a really great one about me giving aliens to my brother for his birthday.
And then I wrote and illustrated “The crazy turtle and the crazy snake”.
But my highest achievement was total social isolation in 7th & 8th grade. When everyone else was talking and being cool during homeroom, I was writing my first novel (like with my hand because computers didn’t exist back then). It’s called Saturn’s Quest and I didn’t stop with my first draft. I actually edited it and everything.
But after that I stopped writing until I was like 25 around 2007 ish. I wrote a novel and a half and then I stopped writing again. And then in 2014, I took a creative writing class by Brandon Sanderson where he made us write a novel and this time I’ve told myself that I won’t stop. It wasn’t until that class with Brandon Sanderson that I realized that my name was close to C. S. Lewis and got up the courage to write under C. Louis S. It’s intimidating because his are big shoes to fill.
So I’ve got 2 books out and I’m trying to write a sequel to the first one, but man sequels are hard. I’m also working on a tool that helps fiction writers plot out their stories easier, called Plottr.
