Ah, Valentine’s Day. Sure, it might just be another holiday fueled by corporate greed… but we can still take out this time to do something special for each other and ourselves. Instead of the traditional route of jewelry, flowers, or candy, I wanted to find some different gifts you can present to your loved ones this year for Valentine’s Day. This of course lead me to Etsy where I found you the coolest, most geeky stuff you can get… Valentine’s Day inspired.
I originally found Beckadoodles because she has these way too adorable glossy stickers that feature hand-drawn My Little Pony and Superhero crossovers such as Princess Luna (as Nightmare Moon) & Loki, Fluttershy & The Hulk, Rarity & Batman, and several others.
I stayed when I saw her Valentine’s Day cards. Beck has your geeky side covered because she has cards for a range of fandoms that I have conveniently listed below for you. They aren’t expensive at all! For example, a pack of 12 cards is only $6! They are also family friendly and would be so cool for your kids to take to school parties where they would easily stand out among those pre-boxed kinds you can get at grocery stores.
How freaking cute are those!? I just… I can’t even. I know I would love whoever sent me a card like that! Maybe I will send one to myself. I totally think I deserve it. You probably do too.
Here’s what she has available:
I found Alice’s shop when I was browsing for Doctor Who related odds and ends. She has these really cool wax melts to make your home smell super yummy. But what really caught my eye are her Bath Bombs! What’s more romantic than a nice hot bath with your sweetie? Doing it geek style, of course! She has a wide selection of fandom inspired bath bombs to choose from, including a Valentine’s exclusive Love Ball that holds a Pokemon for you to collect!
Every bath bomb contains grapeseed oil, which is great for moisturizing the skin without making it feel greasy. They are all lovingly hand painted as well to give them their respective themes. They aren’t just for the ladies either! Some of her bath bombs work great for the guys too as they feature more masculine, musky scents. Hey guys… relaxing baths aren’t just for girls!
Here is just a small selection of what she has available:
Have a My Little Pony fan in your life? Show your love with this personalized Funko POP! My Little Pony figurine repainting!
This service allows you to select from a small range of ponies as a base (Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle or Derpy). Then you can select the colors for the hair & body in addition to what your cutie mark should be. You can even request potential, additional props! Oh My Gosh y’all… she personalizes the box too! I just can’t even! Ahhhh! I needs it.
I found AnnMarie’s shop while just browsing about. I am so excited that I found this gem of gift idea. The price is fantastic at just $30 + shipping. The price of the collectible alone is worth up to $15 so this service is a steal. It’s so unique and the reviews I have read about her other products are wonderful!
Yet another Doctor Who related discovery (I don’t have a problem, I swear!). Carrie’s Geek Nest shop features subtle, geeky scents for every house in the form of candles and candle melts. She has a wide range of fandom inspired scents. The soy candles can be purchased singularly or in sets of 3 (sometimes 4). A single 4 ounce candle is $7.00 which is a darn awesome price for something so unique! She also has candle melts for those who prefer using a warmer.
Not only are these clever and fun… they are great for geeks in love looking to spark a fire in their relationship. Hey, you can totally burn one while you enjoy one of those bath bombs in a hot bath!
Here are some of the candle sets:
And because of course, Valentine’s Day isn’t for everyone… I wanted to give you the chance at a shirt that wonderfully sums up what a lot of us are feeling about this day of love.
This is a men’s cut, size Large t-shirt in red that features one of those yucky heart-shaped, chalky tasting candies with the little notes on them that a small group of weird people in this world like to eat around Valentine’s Day. It says “meh.”
I’m sorry, but there are absolutely no size substitutions available. I selected a size that I thought would do well for the masses. I’m a plus size girl myself and this would not fit me – but I couldn’t get it in a wider range of sizes. If it’s too big for you, well… awesome. You can wear it to bed alone.
This giveaway ends the morning of Monday February 9th with the intention of me mailing this to you in time for you to wear it for Valentine’s Day! Please do not enter if you will not be readily available to provide shipping information in a timely manner. Shipping information must be provided by Tuesday February 10th at 10am or you forfeit your prize. I’m sorry international readers, but this is for U.S. people only.
