I suck at blogging this week. I know it doesn’t seem like it since I have plenty of new blog posts up… but I got behind and didn’t reach my personal blogging goals – including not getting my Doctor Who recap out on schedule. I hate that I am falling behind so early in the game. To be fair, it was my birthday this weekend and I had the entire weekend off. You’d think that would be relaxing, but apparently it just threw me way, way off of my routine and made me lose my mind.
So like I already said… Birthday weekend. To be honest, I spent the majority of it sleeping. Apparently that’s what I do when I quite literally do not have to be anywhere. The sleep and relaxation were nice, but it made for a rather unproductive weekend. I did manage to make myself a birthday cake and that was fun.
I didn’t have much planned for my Birthday. Jeremy is going out of town starting this weekend and although he’ll be reimbursed, he has to spend a lot of money up front for a trip to Tennessee for work training. A lot of money will be tied up between that and the tattoo I am getting next Wednesday. It just didn’t make sense to do anything crazy. We ended up at Longhorn Steakhouse Sunday evening since we had a gift card and a coupon for a free dessert.
We had Bananas Foster Cheesecake. How delicious does that look? Be jealous.
I bought more nail polish. As if that’s remotely shocking.
I am not a huge OPI fan. I like it, but I find the price point a bit steep considering I am not totally in love with their formulas. That said, I got 6 new bottles of it yesterday. There’s a hair salon next to where I work and they have a clearance box – Buy 1, Get 2 Free. I poked my head in yesterday and found that they had added a bunch to the box and so I grabbed about $60 worth of OPI Nail Polish for $20. Win.
The picture doesn’t do them justice. I just can’t seem to get the lighting to show you the colors since most of them are super dark hues – perfect for fall. From left to right…

Bruce and Oliver have learned to jump. Ugh. It’s been a real pain. They are getting onto counters and tables that they shouldn’t be on. We’re just doing the best we can to reprimand them and teach them that they shouldn’t be on the counter.
And because this post simply wouldn’t be complete without cat pictures, here is a picture of Jeremy holding Oliver this weekend. Oliver just couldn’t stand it and demanded attention during a DC Deck Building game Jeremy and I were playing. Aren’t they cute?
I love my boys so much. They are cutest when sleeping…
I’m pretty sure that was it for my week. Hopefully I’ll be back into the swing of things soon. I’m off from work today as per usual, but still feeling very off schedule. Yikes.
How was your weekend?
